COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

We have implemented an environmental management system in compliance with ISO 14001:2015, which ensures the sustainable rational use of resources. “Think big – Act small”: Our approach involves implementing concrete practices aimed at minimizing waste and reusing resources wherever possible.

POWER

  • Heating with heat pumps;
  • Choice of LED bulbs for lower energy consumption;
  • Motion sensors for sustainable lighting;
  • Shielding films on windows to protect rooms from heat with consequent limitation of the use of air conditioners.

PRODUCTION

  • All waste and paper dust are collected and recycled. 700,000 kg of paper recycled per year.
  • No water consumption for the production of prints.
  • Our environmental impact is sustainable: this is certified by periodic monitoring by the ARPA:
    -No noise pollution
    – No emissions of particles and/or substances
    – No light pollution.

MATERIALS

  • Water based inks;
  • completely plastic free packaging (we opt for paper or cardboard);
  • Choice of wooden rather than plastic pallets;
  • Compostable materials, recycled papers and light papers;
  • Predilection of suppliers attentive to environmental protection.

Print on demand and process automation to support sustainability

With print on demand, prints are produced only following an order, even as a single copy. This avoids overproduction
and consequent returns and disposal of unsold items.

The automation of workflows guarantees efficient printing processes, maximizing the energy used and minimizing errors and waste.

FOREST MANAGEMENT

A company certified for the FSC® and PEFC Chain of Custody in support of responsible forest management can demonstrate, through the use of the FSC® and PEFC mark on its product, that it is part of a processing chain that supports the protection of forests, ecosystems and the people who depend on them.

The FSC® and PEFC certifications held by a company like Rotomail Italia S.p.A. (FSC_C109190)(PEFC/18-31-1400) attest to its membership in a chain of material control from the forest to the last link in the chain before the end consumer and its support for sustainably managed forests globally.
